Welcome to Families First Counseling
Julie O'Mara Dodson is owner and licensed psychologist with over 30 years experience working with kids, adolescents, families, and adults. She is a certified Trauma Focused Behavioral Therapist and has experience consulting with school personnel, facilitating parent education programs, and running children's therapy groups. Families First accepts most insurances, including Medical Assistance.
Kayla Larkin is a licensed clinical counselor. As a clinician Kayla works from a family systems orientation incorporating other practice styles as called for. Kayla understands the different role each individual’s spiritual beliefs and practices may play in coping with life’s events. It is her goal to create a safe and supportive environment to facilitate each individual’s personal growth. Kayla enjoys working with those experiencing or impacted by: family conflict, Life transitions, chronic health conditions, anxiety and depression.
Keli Gwost is a licensed professional counselor. Keli enjoys working with adults, including couples to help them work through the complexities of life. She believes in finding techniques clients can implement both in and out of sessions that will help them achieve their personal goals. She has a history working with couples and individuals struggling with addiction, trauma, mood disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, relationship challenges, and involvement in the criminal justice system. It is important to her that clients feel comfortable to share in a safe place without judgement.
